May I Put A Positive Spin On De la Hoya - Mayweather II?

I like to ALWAYS try and see both sides to any situation... everyone here knows I created an entire thread devoted to steve forbes winning...
Oscar also has now been in the ring with Floyd... He does know what to expect... He also knows what WAS working... and what wasn't... Oscar didnt win all those titles because he doesn't know how to box, how to win, or how to beat someone..............
What happens is, you fight a certain style for so long... (Floyd) you win for so long.........................
Floyd looked in the camera, with a serious look of concern.. as he was putting his hands through therapy.. .................

And how many fighters have we seen in the past, that were DOMINANT in there time... .........................

I agree with everything you said and I have said most of that before in many threads and posts. Also to add to it, I think floyd senior is the best trainer in boxing. More so, he knows floyd better than anyone other than floyd jr himself. He might even know weaknesses that floyd jr himself doesn't even realize. and oscar has performed his best under floyd senior's training. I think floyd senior is gonna employ a completley different strategy than Roach did in the first fight. On top, he has video to watch of the fight. And although it might've looked like dlh couldn't have done anymore cuz mayweather was running around, I beg to differ. dlh could've done alot more and probably will. all this is enough to get excited about.

for all those who are crying for mayweither to fight a top welter I have this to say: there isn't anything more any of the current welters could do to beat mayweather that oscar can't do. the only other current boxer between 140 and 154 that stands a chance is Forrest.

Cotto, Margarito and Paul are all really good boxers but dlh is a great boxer. they are not at the level of dlh. I don't see what those 3 have that is more effective than what dlh has other than williams who is just really tall but not very skilled.

I'm surprised you didn't mention Mosley in that list cuz I would've accepted that. I think he drew against Cotto but either way, he has the better style and hand speed to beat mayweather.

dlh is smart and has great hand speed+power and forrest is smart and could frustrate mayweather with his counter punches.

It is surprising.. but I just dont think hes got that edge anymore... I think he can only beat B fighters now.. sadly..
