I just talked to my dad last night and asked him had he talked to Evander lately (they are good friends) and he said they talked about 3-4 weeks ago and Evander was telling my pops that he might be fighting Tyson for the third time. In 98 or 99 maybe, but 08....I don't know. But you know how this sport is, if the money is right, anybody will fight anybody....

Back to Holyfield though, the Buster that faced Evander was NOT the same Buster that Mike fought.
Lets not be too far from the truth here. Tyson would have never been KO'd if the ref would have ended the fight properly after Douglas got caught by the uppercut . Thats right, the ref took 14 seconds to count to 9-1/2. I timed it and the fight should have ended there. Sure Mike was outclassed in that one, but IMO, he pulled it out with that one shot. If not for that call, we would have had quite a few more years of Tyson domination. (speculated, he may not have went nuts and went to prison.) It was a tragedy to see him so mentally weak after that, considering he was thought of as being invinsible and built up quite a following. I wasnt a Tyson fan then, but I am now and would love to see them fight. It would be interresting to see how they do together now that their skills are on equal ground. Tyson still has the pop to end Holifields night and Holifield still has enough heart to stiffle Tyson. Intriguing. Thanks, to whoever is reading this.

I would really like to see Tyson fight again and I dont care what anyone says. He deserves a chance and its the best way for him to get the money that im sure he needs.

I understand what you are saying. I would love to see the Tyson of 1990 fight again. Tyson 2008 is not a fighter he is a troubled man who is a shell of himself. I also don't agree that this is the best way for him to get the money he needs. I am afraid entering the ring again it will further damage him. I don't want to see it.

I hope so, because even though I like Mike I don't want to see him fight anymore. Especially when you know the only reason he want's to fight is for the money.

I recall Mike made a statement on him disrespecting the sport by fighting again. He seemed sincere on that one.

the aging tyson and holyfield are better boxers to watch than the current heavyweight champions combined. gone are true heavyweight champions. there are no more excitement. watching heavyweight fight is as good as watching a chess match nowadays.
