pot shots and timed right hands will mess cotto's face up...i don't think floyd would go for the ko unless he feels pressured to...i can only imagine that cotto would have to fight this fight completely different from any other fight...there is no set game plan...his corner and his ears would have to be the ultimate judge...i do believe that floyd wouldn't start the pot shots until cotto starts dropping those arms...which will be the 6th or 7th...i think it will most likely go the distance unless a) mayweather mixes in with enough body shots...this will make cotto drop his hands a lot earlier and open his face up for those right hands...early night from then on out...or b) cotto gets cut...i can't say for sure...but he told us a lot with that clottey fight...if he sees blood on his face...there will be a half a round to 2 round time period for readjusting and getting his composure back...clottey did not capitalize...mayweather would never make that mistake...
the chips are stacked against cotto and i truly believe that there is no way he'd win this fight...even in the past when people say he was at his best...before...he didn't impose his jab...that's the biggest weapon he has against floyd...but his conditioning might take that out as a factor...floyd doesn't do two things 1) get tired and 2) panic...he can always find the time to adjust...cotto only has one option after the first 6 rounds...go castillo on him and apply constant pressure and keep busy hands...but cotto is not that type of guy...his stance and movement are too basic...
all in all...unless cotto hits him with a magic shot...which ain't really even possible against floyd...it's mayweather UD with cotto's face bloodied...Comment
