The biggest misconcepcion is that a fighter is "running" from another fighter and I don't see Mayweather as running. I think he's at a point in his career that he has the liberty of setting up the fight's he wants, how he wants them. Much like DLH and he's earned that right.

If he retires and doesn't fight any of the big names then I would agree but we don't know where he is going in the future after the DLH fight and I'm sure a big fight with him and Cotto or Margarito is looming out there.

I respect the person's opinion but in reality it's based on more an opinon than really knowing what's going on in Mayweather's head.
    Also a decent opinion....

the word "THE" heavyweight world champion ISNT in my sig...

The word "Undisputed" isnt in my SIG either...

WBA heavyweight title = World heavyweight Champion

I guess Michael Buffer gets it wrong everytime he says it...

Yes Mayweather should renounce the pound-for-pound title that was given to him by others.

I agree that it would be nice if he fought a lot of people, and in particular who hardcore boxing fans want to see him fight instead of the guys that make the most money.

Unfortunately human beings choose the best option available for them. The best option for Mayweather is fighting 1-2 times a year against multi-million dollar opposition.

So... he "should" not do ****, but I would surely be happier if I saw him fighting 6 times a year.

I disagree with your analysis of the analysis because it's unfair to say he has labelled Mayweather as not hungry.
He pointed out that he THINKS that Mayweather MIGHT be less interested in his boxing career than he used to be.
And IF that was the case, he should let someone hungrier take over the torch.

              I'm amazed...

I think it is a plausible analysis but I have to disagree with some points. Especially the point about the promoting and such, he is trying to expand his name and really make a mainstraeam stay, you can't fault someone for that. He is going to have one fight after a fight that WAS legitimate and WAS against a damn good fighter. This fight is strictly payday, now if he continues with this we have more than a problem with PBF...

Mayweather is an exceptionally talented fighter, hell he is undefeated! I do think that of late he has become complacent with his boxing career and might not have the determination and drive he did a few years ago. If that IS the case then he should let someone who IS serious about taking on ALL the best fighters in the division take the torch while he goes on to wrestle or promote or whatever. Keeping his ardent fans hanging on to watch him fight less than the best and still try to convince everyone he is still the dominant champion is not worthy of someone who has been labeled pound for pound the best fighter. If you are a professional boxer then you box and if you are the best then you fight the best. Leave no questions unanswered.
                    Plain and basic common sense.

Every fight floyd has he takes serious and he's just trying to get his name up there just to get more of that money.
