And they might have a genuine point in the latter case. It really depends how long Hatton leaves it before he fights Witter. If he does it within the next year, Junior should still be prime enough to leave no reasonable doubt as to who the best fighter is/was.

Don't you guys want to see Hatton show that he is the best there is at 140? If you do then this should really be the first fight you would want to see! Two countrymen who're both at the top with belts, which also has a lot of interest in Britain, with both camps claiming they're the best and many people undecided who actually is the best.

Why should any fan care about what HBO thinks or what the ratings might be or how they argue over the purse split or anything to do with all that rubbish! We, as fans, should only care about seeing the best fights put together for us to see who is the best fighter. That should also be the fighters main concern as well but it would seem the managers have too much of a say with these things sadly. Then again, with the money to be made from being a champion these days I can certainly understand why they would take ****ty pointless fights just to make more money without any actual risk. But screw that, I just want to see who is the best out of these two guys. I do think Witter could give Hatton some problems but I'm not going to know until I see them fight and I think it's a fight that should definitely be made. I also think it would be a very good fight!
I fully agree we just need to get this fight done, haye and enzo are fighting and now we need this fight. who give a **** how much hatton or witter will make. if they are all worried about the other making money they should donate all the money made on the fight to charity.

I have no doubt that Hatton destroy will Witter when they fight, but it will be an awkward and boring fight and most people who are saying Witter will beat Hatton will be saying that Witter was "overrated and or past his prime" when it's over.
and hatton would be getting 70%
he can fight him make the money win prove he is the best 140 then get a bigger fight with someone like the babybull pacman etc

Yep, I agree. This fight is long, long overdue and most people that follow this division or know anything about it want to see this happen. I don't know why anyone wouldn't want to see it happen, whether you're a fan of Hatton or Witter, it would be a great mix of styles and both would need to bring their best in order to beat the other.

Hatton will have had to make some changes to his training in order to beat another slick and tricky boxer like Witter, but, hopefully he has learned some things himself from the Mayweather loss and can come in with a better game plan than he did for that fight.

              Cheers mate!

I'll never understand that. It seems to me that all over this board there are fans talking like they're the lawyers or they're part of a fighters entourage or posse. It's just plain weird. I can dig being a big fan of a fighter but then I would want to see that fighter fight everyone. I would want to him to take on every single challenger to show that he is the best or even if he loses to show that he can come back and still be a champion. Thats what it's all about.
