Lee is quicker and probably a better athlete than Pavlik, but it still seems early for me to see Lee take on Pavlik. I would like to see Lee keep stepping up and at least fight a top ten MW before he fights Pavlik. Next year I think the fight would make sense.

I know that's what makes him a tough fighter. Lee's maybe more talented, but Kelly has heart and determination the likes Lee hasn't seen yet. That's why I would like Lee to be in a fight where he get's tested at least a little becuause you know if or when he fights Kelly that he's gonna get everything he can handle.

This kid really needs to slow down!! He's letting Steward get him all gassed up, and he hasn't even beat anyone yet. He should fight Wright by the end of the year, or travel to Germany and fight Abraham, but he is not ready for Pavlik. I would say by the end of next year he would be ready for Pavlik. Once Lee has about 10 more wins and a bigger following. This fight could be huge if they would let Lee build up some momentum.

Finally Lee speaks up and let's it be known that he himself agrees that he is ready. It has usually been Manny doing all the talking.

Pavlik had to come through guys like Zuniga, Zertuche.. even Mckart. Lee hasn't even taken on anyone of this caliber.. Just imagine Lee against Miranda! Regardless of what the Lee camp is saying I this it's all marketing and promotional tactics. He knows in his heart that he needs more time. I think he could definitely do something but lets give "Neo" a little time to crawl before he flies.

People try to convince me that Pavlik is some sort of a new Sugar Ray Robinson or something.
It's a huge step up in competition, sure. But when you first gonna jump, at least make it a leap to remember.

Lee is awesome, no doubt about it.
He's stronger than he looks, he's more slippery than he seems and he's a bloody southpaw.

I've seen the guy in action against bigger, stronger men in sparring (in the AM's) and I've seen them test his defence.
It doesn't look spectacular, but he's got a tremendous boxing eye (don't know what you call it in this underdeveloped language) and a good vision.

He see them coming, he watch them go and then BOOM.

I don't know if he could beat Pavlik just yet, but I'd pick him anyways.

I don't think anyone doubts Lee has some serious natural talents and also that he's developed a lot of them but.. You need to take those step ups gradually. If you skip a step, your gonna get burned. When something comes your way that you haven't seen before. Falliga wouldn't come near beating any of the last 5 guys Pavlik beat. So unfortunately we don't really have that much info on how Lee will fare against top level comp. It does seem that Team Lee is making all the appropriate business moves to make this kid a fixture on HBO/Showtime.

Good point, wether he's ready or not he should wait until it's his time.
