.. He's ready for Pavlik but.. He hasn't really had any step ups in competition yet. He's just gonna jump from veritable no names to the champ? and expect to win? I don't know if this is gonna work out so well.

The only other titlists are Abraham and Sturm, and neither of them are going to fight Lee.
I'm all for a Pavlik-Lee June fight. Huge risk/reward for Steward and Lee, but the storyline would be very intriguing. Better than Lorenzo or Randy Griffin, that's for sure...Comment

I thought Falliga was fighting scared the entire fight after the first minute or so he was no longer fighting to win. Stewart seems to really like what he sees in Lee so he can't be all hype.Comment

steward and lee should have a very good idea where he stands in relation to pavlik. after all he has sparred quite a few rounds with jermaine taylor under stewards supervision.Comment

i just think he needs to get in the ring with someone better than falliga before he considers taking on the best in the division.Comment

of course, falliga was complete garbage. hes gonna steamroll anyone outside the top 15-20, so hes either gonna step up to world class or he wont really be challenged. i saw andy live not too long ago and he is impressive to see up close. when he lands it sounds like a heavyweight shot.Comment

Wow... I have to believe this is too soon.In a recent interview with the Irish Voice, unbeaten middleweight prospect Andy Lee (15-0, 12KOs) proclaimed he was ready to fight WBC/WBO champion Kelly Pavlik (33-0, 29KOs). According to a report in the paper and confirmed by Lee, there was a recent meeting in New York between Lee, his manager/trainer Emanuel Steward and Pavlik's promoter Bob Arum. [details]Comment
