Why does Floyd get hate but Cotto doesnt?

When your're the best people want to see you lose, simple as that. If Cotto were to beat Floyd, people would start to hate Cotto, and if Floyd were to beat Cotto, people will just find another fighter Floyd is "ducking". Look at Jermaine Taylor, as soon as he lost, he got more fans for fighting hard, blah blah blah, I think people just hate greatness, because they want to be able to relate.

i just didnt see it. i mean, ive been watching oscar since i was little kid. id been witness to his prime years and the speed and power. i didnt see the same oscar i grew up watching but a heavier set version who's remaining trait was his power. i just thought it was a gross match up. when he first talked about it, i knew how it was going to play out. i knew floyd was going into the fight and pick his shots, never really landing combinations and Oscar was going to try to get close and attack the body to get Floyd to drop his hands and the fight would end up in a Decision. Because of how it happened, its hard for me to see from your perspective because what I thought would happen.....happened.

I imagined Floyd would pot shot, but Oscar speed made it a lot less easy than I thought it could be. Also, Mayweather was in the most defensive version I have ever seen him, he did not turn on any form of aggression, not even in the later rounds.
I thought that the reason for the fight being harder than I expected is I think Oscar's surprising speed.

Another thing I was hoping for was that Oscar would not be content with throwing those bull**** flurries to the body.

I dont mind fighters talking trsh, but dont do it if you are going to cherry pick your opponents. Floyd said after the Dela fight that "no matter who they put in front of me they cant beat me".. its not who they put in front of him, cuz he WONT fight who they put in front of them, he just CHERRY PICKS his opponents.
