Why does Floyd get hate but Cotto doesnt?

i just think cotto is the most protected champion out there. He is a dirty fighter, his best fights were over an old washed up zab, old and past his prime Shane and the after torres he fought nothing but feather fisted fighters and yes Quintana is included along with Paulie, Urkal, and Branco. never gave Torres a rematch (and yes torres did ask for one). I mean what has this guy done to be in the position to be rated as high as he is? What, look good in the past year and a half against old washed up fighters? Mosely beat Vargas 2X and was on his way to losing he first one. Then he beat Collazo who lost to ricky. Whoopdi ****in doo. Zab lost to Floyd, Baldy, and lloked like **** his comeback fight on espn2. I just dont like Cotto because it is obvious to see that they are hyping him up to get one HUGE payday and make their money. I just think he is all hype when when he doesnt deserve it. They say Floyd hasnt beatin any top WW as in Kermit, Margs, Clottey, and etc. Well who Has Cotto beatin out of them? No one. But people are too biased too see it.


Out of all the of the welterweights, Cotto has not beaten any.

Why did you leave Mosley off of your list? OH, because Cotto just beat him. Now go ahead and say he isnt a top welter even though he was ranked highter then most of your list..and also he dominated a Collazo who Hatton was almost KTFO by. Also, where is Quintana on your list, the guy Cotto utterly DESTROYED who just beat Williams.

i understand but i personally see no real accomplishment there. floyd is a incredibly gifted athlete who is FAST. who with no real knowledge of sports and boxing didnt know that Floyd was going to be too fast for Oscar? remember, Oscar was coming off a 2 year layoff when he fought Mayorga. 2 years without being active messes with your body. and he wasnt "bigger", he was HEAVIER. Oscar could have had gloves with pieces of broken glass glued to them and he still wouldn't have caught Floyd. Even oddsmakers knew this, thats why Floyd was the heavy favorite in the fight. just my 2 cents.

And come on... Oscaw was definitely bigger than Floyd, not just heavier.

naw i know you're right. thats why floyd better not take anytme off before a Cotto fight. he should fight Oscar in Sept. and then fight cotto any where from january- march. Because after too much time off it messes with you and rust sets in. not only rust, but being hit also. either way i thin floyd wins but it is his decision if he wants to win an easy fight or make it a hard tough close fight after a lot of time off.

yeah but floyd was at his best at 135 vs Chico. And DLH knocked out a natural 154 lb'er that had come out to be roided up. and im not calling zab a career difing fight, but floyd's win over zab meant more by default, because he was coming off 1 loss instead of 2.

how does his win mean more by default? the oscar fight was a good fight i'm just saying that cotto fought shane at 147 a weight which he was better at than 154.shane and oscar accomplished more at 147 than they did at 154

i just didnt see it. i mean, ive been watching oscar since i was little kid. id been witness to his prime years and the speed and power. i didnt see the same oscar i grew up watching but a heavier set version who's remaining trait was his power. i just thought it was a gross match up. when he first talked about it, i knew how it was going to play out. i knew floyd was going into the fight and pick his shots, never really landing combinations and Oscar was going to try to get close and attack the body to get Floyd to drop his hands and the fight would end up in a Decision. Because of how it happened, its hard for me to see from your perspective because what I thought would happen.....happened.

did you forget that Collazo was dropped by hatton, a natural 140 lb'er. Mosely was never a top welter. He beat an old Vargas 2X and was on his way to losing the first one. He beat a Luis Collazo that gave a 140lb'er trouble. wow. With hatton losing to Floyd, it just shows he doesnt belong at 147. what 147 lber would he beat? none. So why is Collazo's loss to a guy who cant beat anyone at 147 a good thing? He didnt even put up a fight against Moesely. Quintana was never a top WW until just now with a win over an over rated PW. Not saying PW isnt good, but he just peaked at the right time vs Marg and Marg had an off night. but i'll give you quintana just out of respect.
