Yeah, Larios has been a good champ and has gone through a lot of wars, his experience will always guide him. Hey, have you seen his fight against Nakazato? Man, i thought he's gonna eclipse Mantecas Medina's record in most punches thrown in a fight, if I'm not mistaken it stands at around 122 ppr set against that fight with Mi Vida Loca Tapia. The samurai warrior just ate them like sushi and kept asking for more I dunno if those were just powderpuff punches or the Jap was simply made of granite. Larios actually was on rubbery legs in the 5th & 6th rounds after Nakazato slipped some of his few counters, now that reminds me of his chin again.

Best!!! Missed Tapia-Medina, though I heard lotsa decibels about it; as I should! "Ate them like sushi..." ! is right!!! ! His chin: I look at the times he visited the canvass and I see that its pretty low given the number of fights he's had; but then, the fight number could also mean he's been at the mean end of fists too often too long. And, Hussein doesn't just throw fists! He can dstract Larios with fouls--just short of getting the ref's goat-- play mind games, before teeing off with a legit fight-ender.Hussein is also a swarmer. Larios shoud find his hands full. But if Larios digs deep into his experience (he's lost to Agapito and if he has learned from that), he should come up with something... For his sake I hope he does!

Well, whatever happened to the title of this thread coz Murad has just lined up a Gary St. Clair for the PacMan. This virtually unknown fighter has been campaigning at Lightweight and jr. Welterweight classes, having been into the ring with Corrales, Vivian Harris and Leonard Dorrin. He's never been KO'd, even Chicco's power wasn't enough to stop him. Is this all the "miracle" that Murad can come up with?

Pac should get Arum next year, he's a crook maybe...but a wily crook with good connections that makes Murad look like an amateur!

I just don't feel good about this "tune-up" for Pacquiao bro. The RISK in fighting this Jr. Welterweight fighter is there, looming like a shadow. The danger is when Pac underestimates this unknown guy - a "nobody", the way he did against JMMarquez...Murad is actually risking Pac's future showdown with JMM and MAB...it'll surely not gonna be as attractive anymore if Pac drops this one. JMM just had a boring defense against Salido, MAB just won over a washed-up Ayala...now this! man, this is not good for the featherweight division. Team Pac could've just opted for a "safe" tune-up with another decent alphabet soup contender like a Juarez or Raheem.

I share all those points Pal. Pac is being made to risk too much for so little marbles. It tells you much of the kind of promoter and management team Pac has.
The weight and height of St. Clair also bother me. Pac has been known not to fight well against shorter foes. I haven't seen St. Clair at all but if his height taken alongside his customary figthing weight is any indication he must be built like a Sherman tank.
Moreover, a guy as short as that having gone the full route vs. the much taller Chico, et al cannot be less than a pesky rusher; he needed to be to get in range. As Chico is a mean puncher, St. Clair's having finished the bout on his feet tells volumes of what he can take going in! The up side is that, even if St. Clair gets inside, he doesn't appear to have much of a punch. Nonetheless, Manny should be warry; there's such a thing as a lucky punch! If anything, this could be also seen as a chance for Manny to develop a good jab, hone his side-to-side movement and counter-punching skills. He should not look for a KO (which he is prone to do whenever he fights before the hometown crowd); but should not dismiss that idea altogether.
Wonder what Roach is saying about the match? He'd be at Manny's corner in Manila,wouldn't he be?

He badly needs the rounds indeed to sharpen up again. I can agree with you there mooks. If Pac is preparing for JMMarquez next, I think he should fight St. Claire on his own terms at 126. Who do you think will be lined up for Pac next year? JMM & MAB are strong possiblities given the excitement and anticipation a rematch brings, but do you honestly think Morales will fight Pac? How 'bout Harrison? Your thoughts.
