      Addison,

How can u bet every single time against Cotto regardless who he is fighting.
His first fight against Quintana I can see why since it was his debut in the division and Quintana shutout Julio. I couldn;t see Urkal as a threat and he wasn't. I couldn't see Zab as a thread especially coming off two losses and a long lay-off and as a result Zab won no more than 2 rounds. I could see why somebody could bet on Mosley and it was a close fight. I like Gomez a lot too and I think he might be better at the moment than Judah, Urkal and Quintana but after seeing what Cotto did to the previous 3, there's no way anybody should be betting that much Internet money unless they really hate Cotto.

Good to see Cotto turning up the heat on Mayweather lately. It's funny, a few weeks ago there was all this talk from Floyd fans about how Cotto has never even called him out and doesn't want the fight and all that nonsense. Oops. Can't use that one anymore.

Even if you don't like Cotto, if you want to see that fight, you have to root for him to steamroll Gomez and take care of the Marg/Cintron winner. He will then be the undisputed, clear-cut, no-doubt-about-it, public-and-HBO-mandated number one contender for Floyd. His profile will also be that much bigger and the fight will be bankable enough for Floyd not to turn it down based on money alone.

Well, you would think so. But if he's getting $20 million for wrestling, he may demand 30 for a fight where it's REAL.

            Cotto Is Good But.....

I give Cotto all the respect in the world, he's a strong bulldog keep it coming type of fighter. Personally I'd love to see Cotto fight Mayweather. I truly feel it would be one of Floyd's easiest fights. All these guys call Mayweather out and think they can beat him, many have tried and none have succeeded. Cotto is slow and basically is a left hook to the body type of fighter, Mayweather is slick, he's quick, his defense is one of the best ever, personally I feel he'd tattoo Cotto up with lightening fast combinations that Cotto would not be able to avoid. And let's not forget, Judah almost took care of business in round 2 with that vicious uppercut, we've seen Cotto rocked before on a few occasions by guys who are no where near Floyd's talent level.

because talk is cheap and he has already cleary called out Floyd at this point.

                  You could argue two points:

                  (1) Cotto is a throwback fighter who wants to fight the best but doesn't want to get caught up in the politics of the sport, thereby letting Arum handle all that mess. Hence the "I will fight whomever Top Rank gets me" company line.

                  (2) Cotto wants to earn the most money while letting his promotional company take the hit when he takes easy fights by blaming them for making the fight.

                  I prefer to believe it's (1).
