Wlad Doesn't Know How To Fight, And Has No Killer Instinct.

That's why Ibragimov was the third person to go the distance with him.

That's why he only has 44 knockouts in 50 fights.

you see him fight goofy ass whitaker? **** was entertaining. it was more on wlad to make the fight entertaining. he can do things that sultan cannot, but he refused to on saturday.

he's a dip**** in the ring, but i agree with you that wlad is generally a great finisher when his opponent is in bad shape.

if i recall correctly sultan and goofi fought at a press conference so there was some type of bad blood there that drew quite a bit of aggression out of sultan

however also consider whittaker quit at the end of that fight and has not fought since so its not out of the question to assume he didnt even want to be there for that fight.... he was basically a glorified punching bag, he let sultan come out and hit him with a dozen unanswered shots at the opening bell, fight pretty much followed suit from there.

Yeah he fought down to the level of the weird southpaw.

His punch output decreased and he had far too much respect for Sultan, something I'm positive Steward instilled in him throughout training.

Those things happen, he's still the same Champ though.

That's the third Ibrogamov fight in a row where I was sitting there wondering why his opponent didnt throw more punches. Maybe that's not a coincidence.

i'm glad you brought this up. see, sulty has a style that is mostly conservative. he's fights basically as a non aggressive counterpuncher. atleast that is what he normally does.

the whole night he was being backed up by wladimir's jab and initiated an exchange only a handfull of times. the whole night he had his left pressed up against his cheek guarding him from wlad's potent right hand. not to mention the old school crouch to add even more distance between him and klitschko's right.

ibragimov may not be an exciting fighter - but he is not ******. he actually seemed rather fearfull of wladimir's right so he made it his mission to exclusiely wait to try to time klitschko's right. in fact, in a post fight interview, ibragimov specifically stated that he waited for wladimir's right to come all night - and it never came.

wladimir, probably one of the most intelligent heavyweights to enter the ring, knew that this is what sultan's game plan revolved around and didn't fall into his trap. this is why we didn't see as many rights as we are used to being spoiled with. personally, i do beleive that klitschko should've capitolized on some of those wide sweeping punches from sulty with a booming right.

but, with such an important fight, i am not going to fault wladimir for not taking ****** chances. next fight, though, better have some medics standing by as manny didn't like the non ko. compensation is due.

almost forgot, the article by jake donovan on the BS front page is a cheap dig at klitschko. you guys are beter off having me write articles than have somebody whose making a biased impression and seemingly disrespecting the first guy to unify a heavyweight title in nine years.

Yeah Sultan is just bad news.

I consider him a solid fighter but in a strange way like Byrd he's trouble. Of course he's nowhere as slick etc. But it's clear there's something in the mechanics that makes for these types of southpaw fights.

Everytime Wlad caught him with something they got tied up. I think Wlad knew Sultan was trying to just catch him with one shot.

At least it wasn't as bad as Spinks-Taylor. I've yet to see something that bad.
