    Klitschko-Ibragimov, Heavyweight Dread-Fest

By Cliff Rold - It’s rare that one could have a serious debate about whether or not 36 minutes of in-ring action was more or less exciting than the eleven minutes of rest time in the bout. That debate is upon us the one remarkable thing that can be said for Saturday night’s otherwise dreadful bout between now WBO and still IBF titlist Wladimir Klitschko (50-3, 44 KO) and Sultan Ibragimov (22-1-1, 17 KO).

I like you man. So many people have just been whining about what they didn't like and doing it like 8 year olds, but this is good work.

That said, I didn't see the fight so I might have been whining too.

Wladimir has provided fans of the heavyweight division with KO after KO after KO over the last few years. Any fan that thinks it's okay to whine about a fight that didnt end in a KO needs strap on gloves and get in the ring with Sultan Ibragimov and try to do better, or grow up and shut up.

Definetly wasn't the best fight out there, but with Wlad isn't very shocking considering his chin. Wlad fought a smart fight and stuck that hard jab in his face all night. He respected Sultan's speed because he didn't leave himself vulnerable by throwing the right hand many times. I don't think Sultan expected to just jab all night and he figured he would catch Wlad with a good shot once Wlad left himself open which didn't happen.

                Wrong. Only Sultan is Russian.

From preserving one's W-L record, Wlad fought a smart fight.

But dammit, Sultan tried to turn it into a fight 3/4th of the way through maybe Round 11, and Klit wouldn't have it.

Shame, too, because Wlad was more likely to have made the KO than been the KO'd but he wouldn't "take the bait"
