Would it be considered a great upset or just a minor one? It would be wild, even I'm not picking Hopkins to win. A 43 year old figher beats a guy 8 years younger who has never been beaten before and is one of the best pound 4 pound fighters in the world.....thats pretty crazy if it did happen.

It wouldn't be that big of an upset in history.

A minor upset, but not a big one.

It wouldn't even be bigger than Hopkins-Trinidad, when Bernard was a 3-1 underdog.

Calzaghe will be 36yo by fight time.

The all time thing isnt the king of the 147lb beaters its a guy 36yo can throw over 1,000 punches a fight and land 1002 against Lacys face at 34 with the best footwork in boxing.

Major upset but a prime Hopkins would get mauled by Calzaghe.

Because people know that Hopkins is a great fighter. He's obviously past his prime at 43, but he's not your average 43 year old.

          What are the odds? 2-1?

          2-1 upsets are a dime a dozen.

Funny how people think Calzaghe is in his prime at 36. Anyway, I'll bet that Hopkins comes in at less than a 2 to 1 dog. Bernard is actually higher on a lot of p4p lists, and when you factor in that he's fighting at a higher weight, and has been for almost two years, should be almost even money.

Look at Bernard's last two fights FFS. This wouldn't be a major upset, if an upset at all.

He looked as good as ever against Tarver and found a way to beat Winky Wright - both southpaws, too.

Calzaghe hasn't fought anyone since Brewer, and then ate a tonne of shots.

True. But what a terrible style matchup for Hopkins, Calzaghe is exactly what Hopkins shouldn't be fighting.(if he wants to win)

'P4P lists' are ****ing nonsense anyway.

I don't actually know when Calzaghe or Hopkins were in their primes, tbh, they both looked about the best in the world in both 1997 and 2006.

Calzaghe is a top 5 pound 4 pound fighter as far as I know. And also most people on here think he is the ****...He may be 36 but hes at high place in his career right now.
