Most of you wanted to hear Miguel Cotto challenge other fighters (many thought he let bob arum run everything...and i agree to an extent) but now here he is calling out the number 1 p4p fighter in the world...
And all cotto is really saying are things we've been saying here.
Regardless of who you believe would win the fight its hard to find someone here who thinks Floyd Mayweather Jr. should be fighting anyone else.

The true boxing fans DO want to see floyd fight cotto more than anyone else.
Infact the only fight that could be made that would make me forget about this is a fight with manny Pacquiao and that isnt happening anytime soon (pacquiao is just now getting to 135...true he came in at 146 unofficially against marquez but he needs to go into that size or have a catch weight fight with mayweather).
So other than a mayweather/cotto fight the only thing more tempting is a pacquiao fight against mayweather...
Now that a good 90% of all boxing fans think this is the fight and cotto is actually speaking out on it mayweather might not have much else he can do other than take the fight...
should cotto beat gomez (like 99% of us here believe he will) then goes on against the winner of cintron/margarito (and say beats him) then he's really dont some welterweight cleaning...he would have eliminated gomez (the young prospect) and went on to fight cintron or margarito who is really left at that point?
he's already beaten judah, mosley, quintana, only guy i see left is williams who isnt even that big of a threat at this point.
so cotto is the guy as far as i can tell who is most deserving to fight mayweather...not mosley or quintana or williams...its cotto...
but why does it seem (since mayweather goes after the money fights) that we're going to see hatton v. mayweather II or something even more ridiculous like mayweather v. mayorga (because mayora is a bit of a name)...
it just seems like thats a fight we'll get from mayweather to close out 08...which would be a real slap in the face to boxing fans...
