Yep, should have fought. I'm a bit disappointed in Ricky, I would have thought the money would pale into insignificance to the satisfaction of making Witter eat his words??? Shame, it would have been a good fight - I'm hoping common sense will prevail

What are people on this site really that ignorant???!!!! Am I the only person who watches and understands Boxing??? What in the hell is this twilight zone I'm living in!!!!! The biggest duck going on is clearly Floyd ducking Cotto!!!! I mean heeeeelllllllllooooooo does anyone not understand the importance of this fight. I can't believe I even have to explain this. Did anyone not see what Bradley did to Witter. Bradley C-class American Witter overrated British fighter....who cares about Hatton-Witter!!!!????? WHO CARES!!!? Floyd-Cotto is what everyone should be screaming for instead it's some fight between two overrated bums that would lose to Floyd or Cotto at the same time. I can't believe this is even an arguement.

Well good ****ing job Nostradamus... you, unlike every single other post in this thread had the advantage of posting AFTER Bradley beat Witter.

Even though Mayweather-Cotto is the most important fight that can be made right now, it has only been at the forefront since 11-10-07, when Cotto beat Mosley. Before that, he was one of many possible opponents for Mayweather. After, he is the ONLY one that matters.

Hatton-Witter had been brewing since before Hatton Tszyu.

With the updated circumstances (Cintron KTFO by Marg, Witter beaten) I'd say it's still Floyd and Cotto, although I think more of a duckage is people refusing to fight Guzman. Guzman was turned down without a second thought by the Marquez camp, who I'd assume would sympathize for the fact that Hamed ducked Marquez back the in the day.

I wouldn't say it's Manny's fault either, it's Arum. He used Guzman's fight against Soto by saying "It started out as a FOTY candidate, then he ran". Okay, understandable, Guzman obviously didn't stand in the trenches and trade with Soto, but why would he when it's obvious he doesn't pack as much of a punch at 130 as he did at 122 and 126? When Guzman moves up to 135, assuming he fights someone of significance around when Manny fights Diaz, I don't see why these two can't fight.
