I guess it depends on your definition of ducking.
I consider ducking to be not getting in the ring with someone without having a coherent reason why it is happening.
Pacquiao/Guzman - Guzman doesn't have a big enough name yet, and if Pacquiao beats him, it really isn't going to do a lot for his resume.
Mayweather/Cotto - Money money money.
Cintron/Williams - Broke my back... erm, sorry, hand.
I actually don't know much about De Leon/Penalosa.
Hatton/Witter - No coherent reason why this fight isn't happening. I don't want to give a guy who slags me off a big payday... Even though I did just that in my last fight.Comment

The only ones I really see as ducking are the first two. Of those, Mayweather ducking Cotto is much worse.Comment

Which is obviousl to see without the poll, honestly.. Lol. Nonetheless, it's interesting to try and see people justify the ducking of the fighters they prefer, and hate on the other guy.Comment

Witter is a bonafide whiny piece of ****, and Hatton has been searching for legitimacy by fighting in America. Hatton could just as easily fight Malinaggi and get 10x the exposure and credit for the win.
Mayweather is ducking someone who has clearly earned a title shot, and has little legitimacy doing so.Comment

So.. Here's the situation.Witter is a bonafide whiny piece of ****, and Hatton has been searching for legitimacy by fighting in America. Hatton could just as easily fight Malinaggi and get 10x the exposure and credit for the win.
Mayweather is ducking someone who has clearly earned a title shot, and has little legitimacy doing so.
A champion, ducking his number one contender. That applies ot both ducking cases.
One just has a history and is coming from someone who said he would fight ANYONE.
I guess if Mayweather ducks someone, he is a coward. If Hatton does it, it's smart. At one point, allegedly, both Witter AND Hatton wanted the fight. Now, Hatton seems a bit timid. The money issue isn't important. If he beat him in his homecoming fight, in the U.K. on HBO TV, I doubt it gets any less views then Hatton/Lazcano gets, which is being talked about. That's a lame ass excuse.Comment

I think you are a very intelligent poster, but The Mayweather/Cotto ordeal has only be going on since December, Hatton Ducking Witter has been going on much longer..Comment
