    Most violent finishes in history?

When I think of ruthless conclusions, I always think of Ray Robinson at middleweight. The way he waxed off Randy Turpin in the rematch and how he ended Jake Lamotta's reign in the St. Valentine's Day Massace, those were classic and finalizing endings put on two very tough guys. Robinson pinned them to the ropes and landed unanswered blows like it was a liquidation sale on pain.

Joe Louis' revenge against Max Schmelling was also punishing. Schmelling was screaming in pain from a kidney punch and seemed to rock back from every punch.

Mike Tyson had some excellent finishes, but I'd say the Pinklon Thomas one was pretty bad. It's hard to really narrow down one guy who stood up to sustained punishment from Tyson, though.

Pacquiao is a highlight reel of finishes. The way he got Morales in the third fight was good, but I like the way he pursued Jorge Julio en route to the stoppage.

Julio Cesar Chavez's finishing flurry against Edwin Rosario was nice. That is the perfect way to finish a guy, head and body.

Aaron Pryor might take the cake with the way he dusted off Arguello in the first fight. It's hard to narrow down a more devastating sustained flurry than the one that happened in the 14th round.

No one wants to talk about Marciano's brain-numbing shot on Joe Louis. What a sick sport we watch

Morisson vs Mercer. Those punches could've seriously hurt Morisson.

Peret vs Griffith. 20+ unanswered punches, referee Ruby Goldstein didn't stop the fight until it was too late, looking at Peret's body slumping to the canvas was hard to watch.

Those are both great examples. I didn't want to mention Griffith-Paret because it's a tough subject. It is the unfortunate reality of the sport.

Are we not allowed to speak of the deaths that have occured in boxing? Its part of the game and probably part of the rush of it all in being a fighter. Knowing that its an extremely volatile and dangerous situation that your walking into and believing that you have what it takes to survive, no pun intended....................Rockin'
