Tell me who has Hopkins beaten that is better?

Trinidad? Nope, he should never have competed at middleweight.
De La Hoya? Nope, he should never have competed at middleweight.
Tarver? Nope, for two reasons. 1. He was in terrible shape having had a go at being a movie star. 2. I think Kessler would give him a whupping.
Wright? Nope, he should never have competed at light heavyweight, a whole TWO divisions higher than he is capable of fighting world class fighters at.

Anyone else? Kessler was and still is a world class fighter who fought Calzaghe at his own weight in his physical prime having wrecked his way through all of the other competition. He'll rule the division once Calzaghe retires.
trinidad had just got finish dusting off joppy and the touranment was set for him to meet at SMW plus he was undefeated. sign contract should have been ready
i give you de la hoya but he sign the contract sould have been ready

Tarver was the bigger man in this right! said weight would not be a problem. beat rjj and g. johnson he was the man at the time. sign the contract should have been ready. now it bhop fault that the crackhead wanted to be a movie star. sluggish tell him stop messing with that blue magic

winky twinkie coming off big fights at 160...( he walks around at 190) hmmm bhop walks around his weight limit. the fight was at a catchweight 170.........catchweight something i agree i can fight you at sign the contract should have train more for a plan b because he could not adapt and them krispy kreme was slowing him down i bet he wish didn't have them now he on the milk carton like bhop said

    didn't bhop skip two divisions

i'm sorry but kessler and pavlik are two most un athelitic boxer i ever seen. he was a world class champ but has not fought since we have to see how he come back. i hoping your not saying he was at his prime because i hope not because alot of ya'll is expecting a lot out of him. the key is seeing him when come back look at lacy stick a fork in him he is done and he didn't even fight the top people.

Yup. I can't stand people who say "boxers had no right" fighting in whatever division. They are paid millions to do what they do. If they're not ready, then don't take it out on the men who beat them. It's really a tired argument.

        You're both missing the point.

I'm not defending Trinidad, De La Hoya or Wright, they deserved to lose because they thought they could fight at that weight and win, but took a beating.

What I am saying is that the most impressive wins that Hopkins has on his resume are all under circumstances in which he had a large physical advantage. Therefore, they are not particularly impressive

If he beats Calzaghe, It'll be easily the most impressive win of his career.

I see a lot of world champions on Hopkins list.
Definitely sounds like the more impressive resume if you ask me.
              But Hopkins has also lost

you clearly don't know that calz fought fighters that were ex champs at smw aswell. atleast claz fought people who were true at that weight rather than people going up to get a payday.

er havent people said that paul willaims should move up?

anyway if you put oscar or trinidad with calzaghe do you think they would beat him? assuming calz made 160 which i think he can although 168 is abit hard for him also.

BHOP went up in wieght and won so why do you criticize others for going up?? Just cause they lost. Trinidad went up a won and was eventually stopped by BHOP. HE was undeafeated and was the favorite to win that fight. No one else yet has knocked out Tito, ODLH, or Glen Johnson, besides BHOP. Discredit his record all you want, but its impressive.

Your comparing these fighters to HOF fighters On hopkins resume.
