I like alfonso, I like the way he motivated himself in his first contender fight against manfredo when nobody gave him much of a chance of winning. He surprised everyone by out hustling and out punching manfredo in their first fight. I think he is motivating himself in the same manner this time but I don't think he has much of a chance against a top caliber opponent like miguel angel.

Not even trying to hate. I honestly thing the kid has got no chance. If Cotto doesn't score the KO (tho I think he will), he outboxes Gomez easily.

            10:1 odds sounds about right.

              Hmmkay.

I think we've already established that Gomez isn't a corpse, and poses threat however small that is, to Cotto. Ok a slick southpaw in Corley was clearly a threat, had Cotto wobbled bad, and still couldn't get the job done. Corley was sent to the canvas 5 times, and looked for a way out with negative body language shaking his head "no" when the ref asked if he wanted to continue.

Torres was some guy with a huge punch that was going to upset Cotto. Haha yeah that's right he floored him, but guess what? He got totally broken down and the Cotto showed who the better guy was.

Also let's keep in mind the showing against Mosley (Where I thought he didn't deserve a victory...............but a draw with Mosley) he was using the jab the best we've seen to date.

He's too ****ing much for Gomez. And if he lost I'd **** my pants.

Gomez's jab and size advantage give him a decent shot, like 15% I guess.

He'll find out quick though the difference in speed and accuracy between Cotto and Tackie/Gatti. I mean you can see Tackie's right hand coming from a mile away, and Gatti's looping head punches werent going to make Gomez sweat. That's not even mentioning Cotto's power either.

I give him a 40% chance. Gomez wont beat Cotto but he might take him to the championship rounds.

i havent seen any odds yet but my guess cotto will be at least -1200 up to -2000

id still bet on him at those odds, if gomez won it would be one of the biggest upsets of my lfietime
