wtf is the point of posting that? you think losing 25 pounds had absolutely ZEROOOOOO to do with what happened in those fights? you REALLY think that? that was 4 years ago.. Pavliks no joke.. but beating Jermaine Taylor and praising him as unbeatable is so far fetched its ridiculous.. the jermain that barely beat a cory spinks, and a draw with winky wright... and the fact that roy isnt even fighting pavlik????????

Pavlik is the more consistent fighter with the better workrate which would make Roy feel his age sooner.

Agreed those fights were 4 years ago, Roy is even older now.

The point was, many in this thread thought Roy could beat Pavlik but I don't see it happening.

Roy has a lot to prove at age 40 and beating Jermain would certainly prove a lot but I don't see that happening either.

Pavlik would have a tough time against Roy. But again, we're basing it off his performance against a slow, out of shape Tito Trinidad.

Pavlik is definitely beatable. But it's easy to say and tough to prove as shown in his last 3 fights. Roy comes in from different angles sometimes so that can throw Pavlik off. But as shown in the past, stamina can change the outocme of a fight in a split second

It's tough to call, but Pavlik would have to KO Roy for a win. I don't see him winning a decision against Roy (but then again I didn't think Pavlik could beat Taylor on the cards).

My point of it being 4 years ago, was that the dramatic weight loss was 4 years ago... it was so insanely evident, after the dro down from heavyweight, that roy could barely move the way he used to pre-heavyweight.. that definitely effected him... my point was, hes past that... and yes, instead of weight drainage he has to deal with age... but i think those are two completely different things, and two different fighters... id rather be 39, then be 35 and having to sweat out 20 pounds... youd feel like passing out... and your body cant take the same impact if your dehydrated... matter of fact.. he did pass out - im not making excuses im just sayin...

And im not saying he can beat jermain or pavlik... just the comparison to how he looked after dropping from heavyweight, isnt quite fair... he still has a lot to prove, even in my eyes..my comparing that situation, to this.. isnt fair.
