Does someone want to make an argument for Taylor?

I think he'd look better against Pavlik but Pavlik is more likely to knock him out. With Taylor, he'd have some problems early but when Taylor starts to gas, Jones can do what he wants with Taylor.

I think he'd definitely perform better against Taylor........who has the tendency to lapse and lay against the ropes etc. Pavlik just keeps grinding and he'd have the capacity to catch Jones with straight shots eventually.

In a classical sense, Taylor wouldn't throw enough punches.

          taylor

jones is less agile and relies on the winky D nowadays. he'd do better against people that have lower output i.e. taylor

              Taylor or Pavlik?
Pavlik has a better chance because although his movement may be slower than Jermain, he has the power and stamina and to beat Jones both fighters would need to knock him out.

Sorry but i totally disagree bro Jones stays on the ropes too much now, and Pavlik would hammer him on the ropes. Jones only fights for 1 minute of the round and thats nowhere enough for someone like Pavlik if you see in his latest fights vs Hanshaw, Tito, he gets hammered on the ropes and spends majority of the fight on the ropes. Now just imagine if that was Pavlik in there who is a master at backing people up and punishing them on the ropes ?? sorry but i don't see Roy beating Pavlik, now Jones would have better chance against Taylor because Taylor isn't an aggressive fighter. And Jones would atleast have a shot against Taylor in a boxing match, but when i see how a shot Roy Jones struggled with Tarver's weak jab then i would say Jones would get out pointed or possibly stopped late. Im one of the biggest Roy Jones Jr fans but even i have to admit, i don't think he can beat anyone in the class of Taylor or Pavlik especially in this stage of his career.

You have never been correct, so please, give it up already.

Taylor is a better matchup at this stage.

Pavlik will outvolume old man Jones. Jones waited Tito Trinidad out for the first few rounds.. conserving energy. Jones is not gonna match Pavlik's volume and he's sure as hell not gonna knock Pavlik out. Until the boxing comission limits the amount of punches a fighter can throw Jones doesn't staned a chance.

Pavlik doesn`t exactly have an iron chin himself. He's the most overrated fighter today. The dude nearly got KOed by Taylor. He has such a poor style.
