i hate to compare boxing to basketball especially but steward is kinda like Pat Riley
when riley had jabbar, worthy, magic he won 80 percent of his games and had his team playing for the title year in year out.
now as coach for the miami heat, shaq broke down, dwayne is hurt, the talent is marginal and theyre the worst team in the damn league.
youre only as good as the guys you train/coach
i dont spend a whole lot of time analyzing trainers and the fighters they have trained but i think youd be hard pressed to find anyone who routinely took good fighters and made them great.
i believe the success or lack thereof, of andy lee and johnathon banks will be a much better indicator of what manny can really do as a trainer. most of the guys listed in the post above came to steward after they had already been successful. in banks and lee he has two fighters that he has groomed right from the start.Comment

the whole post makes sense, but the bit i quoted alone is funny as ****.
its like when football commentators say, " well folks, its an unpredictable sport, but i know well either see a winner, a loser, or a draw "
makes sense, but its a ****ing daft thing to say
