I would also pick Kessler to beat Pavlik as well. Stylistical nightmare for Kelly...

Calzaghe is used to fighting at 168.
Pavlik doesn't have that kind of conditioning yet.

Pavlik is still a great boxer and a strong MW champion.
mwahahah, pavlik the fraud. Then his trainer jack loew should learn to shut the **** up and not make comments like pavlik would wipe the floor with calzaghe. I remember reading some similar comment like that after pavlik ko'd taylor. Maybe, Jack loew should stfu and not me It was posted on an article on boxing scene I wonder if it still exists somewheres on here

          Yes.

Because he's the more coordinated, as hard hitting, consummate boxer puncher. Whereas Taylor (Who showed that Pavlik had a weakness in the second round of the first fight where he let him off the hook) is more of the athletic.....yet herky jerky boxer puncher. He doesn't have the rhythm that Kessler does.

Anyways point being he'd have serious problems with Kessler because he wouldn't be able to avoid the jab and right hand.

In fact I don't think Pavlik could take many of those flush right hands. Kessler is big and strong enough I think to handle most of what Pavlik dishes out on the other end, as well.

I guess you're too dumb to realize that Calzaghe and Pavlik are not in the same weight class. What a ****ing tool.
Calzaghe is moving up to light heavyweight and Pavlik is moving back down to middleweight, are you too ****** to realize what's happening?
You expect Pavlik to move up to light heavyweight and Challenge Calzaghe right? My dancing bananas are smarter than you.

I'm sorry boxingknight if you lost some money on Taylor this night but that's what happens when you bet on a close 50-50 fight that can go either way.

You'll get over it. Maybe some day Pavlik will lose.

I think Calzaghe's body is running on the reserve tank at SMW. I don't care who you are - age must take its toll at some point. IMO there were signs against Kessler that he's on the downslope (he got tagged too often in the early rounds). Moving to LH will give him a new lease of life. Certainly enough to finish whatever business he's got planned.

If Calzaghe has to drop back down I think it's tough to call. The Zag that flattened Lacy would win comfortably. But it's a long time since that fight. If Pavlik decides to risk everything and move up to LH (very unlikely) I can't see any other result than a Zag win.

Calzaghe would probably win a decision by wearing Pavlik down with some movement and pile on flurries whenever Pavlik gets caught either resting inside or admiring his work. I think Pavlik is still a little green for this fight. The problem is Calzaghe is getting up there in years. In 18 - 24 months I think this is a great fight for Pavlik to be ready to win, but by then Calzaghe will probably have already lost or retired.
