Montiel Dominated Castillo -- What did you guys think?

Montiel has been a fighter Ive been following for a long time now, Ive been to a few of his fights in Vegas including the one before this one.

I have to say I thought he was going to beat Castillo, but I did not think he was going to dominate the fight in the fashion that he did. I know some so called boxing fans on this site don't care for the great fights and fighters the lower weights bring to the table, which is some of the dumbest **** I ever heard.

I think Montiel is one of the best fighters in the game of boxing, but sometimes in his fights he loses focus and plays around to much, but when the kid is on his game not to many fighters can beat him.

Yeah that was the first time I had seen him fight last night and he did look good. He dominated Castillo and ironically KO'ed him with a body shot. It seems like a Mijares/Montiel fight definitely needs to happen. It would be a big fight for the lower weight classes. I think Mijares would beat him with his high work rate and good boxing skills.

Montiel is a much better fighter then I thought he was. I new he was a really good fighter, but I thought he may have been fading. Castillo seemed to be the faded one. Nonetheless, Montiel is a great fighter. Mijares would have his hands full. So would Arce or Darchinyan.

Montiel sucks ass...all he has is power...Castillo is just shot as all hell...and has been since he turned 29....

Mijares would make Montiel look like a fool......hell with that **** defense i think even Arce can beat Montiel with toughness alone...

You don't know what your talking about, Montiel has lost two fights which were close decisions to Mark Johnson and Johnny Gonzales, one was a split decision and the other a majority decision.

Why does he suck ass?

He just dominated Castillo who is a very good fighter in a fight that was a pick'em going in.

Montiel would Dominate Arce but they are friends, but Montiel said he would fight his mother if the purse was big enough.

Im pretty sure he does. Mijares looked great last night and his victory against Arce he looked great as well. He's an accurate puncher with good hand speed and moves around the ring really well. IMO he's the best super flyweight out there. I think he would outbox Montiel and leave him a bloody mess the same way he did Arce and Navarro.
