    your just being wierd

Joe Louis didn't act like an idiot like some of these guys today though did he?
Joe Louis did not get to be a name by acting like a punk like many fighters do today of all races. He was pure class all the way.

And honestly, the two most highly regarded fighters are black and Filipino. Don't see how this argument is valid at all.

There's just as many White champions as black champions today - maybe even more...

        Just saying...

        Times, they are a changing...

Was there's anything in particular that prompted you to dig up this fossilised thread? It's a fraction younger than my 7 year old son, which probably isn't a record but I doubt is all that far off either.

ermmmm...Mayweather is the biggest star in American boxing for a decade, before that it was Tyson, before that Leonard and Hearns....before that Ali, before that Robinson.

What white fighter has transcended those names?

This thread is from February 2008 which was one day prior to the Pavlik Taylor rematch. So I'm guessing the TS was overreacting to the huge amount of excitement Pavlik created at the time and making it about his skin color. Truth was Pavlik simply had an awesome freakin fight against Taylor, knocking him out in such brutal fashion and Taylor was never really a people's champ anyway, everyone it seemed wanted Taylor's reign to end. That fight was amazing, certainly one of the best fights in recent years.
