Has anyone ever thought that Judah isn't mentally weak...

Zab-Shane would be interesting. Shane would be the favorite of course though. I don't think Shane would KO Zab even if he folds though but if they fight it would be Zab's real last shot.

I hope Mayweather Sr. trains him but I could never see that happening lol.

I will have to watch the Ward fight again but I think he did well in the latter rounds after being hurt in round 8 (i think) to the body.
Not to mention that he was being hit to the body against Ward throughout the fight, yet still finished well. Zab just lets instincts get the best of him in the ring. In some instances, instinct will carry you. But in others, it will leave you punching yourself out without any thought of self-conservation for the latter rounds. I hate how he jumps the gun when he has his guy hurt. He's a very bad finisher.

When Zab got kayoed by Tszyu, he tried to get up so fast after gettting caught and ended up stumbling rather than give it a few seconds and see if he can regain his composure.
As far as mentally, tough, yes. Smart?

He really is among the worst finishers in the sport...

He is good at getting the original punishing punch through, but then he starts throwing wide ass shots that are easy to see coming.

He had Cotto hurt, he had Mayweather hurt... hell it took him forever to get Cory Spinks out of there after he had him badly.

Judah is damn good at some things, but finishing is NOT one of them.

I agree. Watch the fight with Micky Ward. He gets his ass BEAT in the later rounds, Micky must've landed that hook to the body about 15 times.

As I've said before I think having his daddy in his corner has kept him from developing into a mature professional, and mature adult.
This is exactly what I feel. I really do believe that him having had his dad in the corner from the start has ruined the potential he had. It has kept him from developing the independence and mental reliability on himself and his skills that he needed to excel when things weren't going his way.

The thing is though, it is not a lack of physical endurance or stamina as it has basically always happened when he has realised that he won't be able to put a guy away or he has been hurt and is facing adversity. He seems to drop focus very quickly or when he has done some great work, he thinks that will be enough to get him through for a while not realising that he will need to do that for an entire twelve rounds to reach his potential.

It is definitely a mental lapse in concentration and a discouragement that lets him down. You saw it first against Tszyu when he had that great first round but when Tszyu didn't actually go anywhere or suddenly stop fighting but actually came back harder in the second you could see his lapse. Again in the Mayweather fight, he had Mayweather struggling to find answers and even knocked him down but after the fourth he seemed to think he could coast along and when Mayweather came on stronger he just fell into a shell.

Really sad waste of one of the best possible potentials of the last few decades I think. Amazingly talented physically in every sense but lacks those intangibles to keep him at the top.
