After watchin that 24/7 **** with him, I think it would be better for him to take it easy when training. Cause come fight night, he obviously needs all the rest and strength he can get.

And why hasn't he gotten back into the ring!?

He used to have stamina to burn.

i think hes fading because of the style hes now employing all the smothering physical wrestling actually takes more out of himself than his opponent.

If he can get back to pre Tszyu Hatton he will become one of the most exciting fighters in the world again.

    The question is IF.

the only difference pre tszyu is the quality of opponent, thats my opinion at least. Which is why he is ineffective as of late.

And even the Castillo bout he was too smothery one body shot aside i think it was another poor display.
somebody made a good point about letting him gas himself out against Collazo & Floyd using it as a Blue Print ,thats exactly what happened if u watch the Collzao fight which i felt he won regardless he was effective when he had a high workrate &stayed in Collazo face but about 5/6 roudns he could see him tire & visibly take his foot off the gas ,that is when Collazo started to take control but then Ricky got a second wind & put the preasure back on his towards the end but took some huge shots on the way in

but Hatton is only effective when he uses Volume against the top guys anyway,if he stood of & tried to Box against Collazo or PBF like he did against Urango ,Tackie he would have had no chance what so ever cause his defence is poor IMO

Nah still an absolute beast with a fighter the same size as him. I'm talking height and reach here.

Na watch him he really moved great and let his hands go inside.

I would never of thought after even the Tszyu fight we would be calling him little Ruiz.

Pre Tszyu he was a machine, he beat Tszyu jumping in smothering so his brilliant brain box team have stayed with the tactic which is wrong.

You smother massive punchers, you pressure boxers thats where hes got it wrong.

I don't think he has fast, or effective straight punches to ever become a threat. His best and most effective shots are his sneaky and quick short hooks when he dives in. Any straight punch he throws from his jab to his right, I just dont think they can generate enough speed let alone force to sting anything.

Collazo timed' him when he would dive in, And Mayweather caught him with a weak check hook when Ricky dived in (no one gets "that massacred" with a "check hook," no one with any defensive sensibility anyways.) Most fighters, even journey men and "gatekeepers" shake those shots off.

Hatton just got sloppy mental-wise, and he paid for it it in a major way. That's not really a good sign.

And he came into the ring with a sombrero once lol, Hate to point it out, but the guys that originally come in with sombrero's.....they usally have chins.

He used to use effective aggresion jab bob weave feint his way in and once inside use his best weapon his short arms to really do damage. I understand why he rushed Tszyu because of the right hand. Although a great tactic for that fight it just hasnt worked since and by doing it removing his best weapons.

the biggest tactical error in the fight by far was his corner not telling Hatton to use his jab ,i know Hatton does'nt have a jab but if you are gonna stand any chance against Floyd u have to jab your way in

most people accepted that the best way to beat Floyd was preassure & that Oscar never won the fight because he is'nt a natural preasure fighter ,the preasure is a key element to beating Floyd but it was'nt the preasure that Floyd was put under by Oscar that had him Floyd losing the 1st half of the fight it was the jab that is the real key to beating Floyd IMO

on the whole Hattons biggest mistake was not using his jab or any straight punches for that matter ,Floyd can roll with Hooks all night long as long as he keeps his right hand up ,the philly shell is made for a fighter like Hatton who only throws Hooks
