True boxing fans follow fighters they like rather than fighters they happen to have been born in the same country as. That said, I really like Calzaghe and not just because he's a very talented boxer, but because unlike many men in boxing, he seems a genuinely nice guy.

Enough with the US vs UK ****, and more of two great fighters getting it on please.

Country is first and foremost the factor on whether I like a fighter. Rooted for Floyd over Ricky solely b/c he's American. This view doesn't make me less of a true boxing fan.
