Would a younger DLH beat Mayweather (in his prime)?

Is that supposed to make it more impressive? Oscar starved himself to make 130 and win that title at 130 against Jim Bradahl who?
Floyd won a title against a more legit champion in Genardo Hernandez who was unbeaten at his natural weight class of 130. Alot of people thought Floyd wasn't experienced enough to beat Hernandez at that time and he dominated.Comment

You don't honestly believe that Pernell won that fight do you?
You mean the same Genaro Hernandez that Oscar had already soundly beaten? Didn't he retire after the Floyd fight? Is that supposed to make it more impressive? Oscar starved himself to make 130 and win that title at 130 against Jim Bradahl who?

I agree. no question in my mind that a younger dlh would have beaten him. he came close recently and he was much faster and more consistent with his jab when he was youngerComment

Alot of other people do as well. We could debate this thing round for round but is it really worth it? Fact is, Oscar had trouble with a washed up, on crack ******* Pernell Whitaker. Whitaker in his prime would have boxed his socks off.

Yes, his first fight moving up to 135 and he lost. Floyd defeated him at 130, where he was undefeated his entire career.Last edited by Vladimir303; 02-11-2008, 01:36 AM.Comment

A former super-featherweight beating a natural jr-welterweight at 147. I don't see the problem. He gave Ricky his first loss.
It should mean something to those who picked Ricky to actually win.Comment
