    Discouragement to Calzaghe fans?

Now that you see that counterpunching cut a volume puncher's output in half... are any of you any more worried about Hopkins (probably the best counter puncher in the game right now) than you were before Quintana knocked off Williams.

I wonder how many times I'm going to hear, " YEAH!!! LOL BUT JOE ISN'T PAUL!!! IDIOT!"

Hopkins in now way NOW is able to produce a countering punch output that Quintana did knawmean? For every 5 punches Joe will throw, i see Hopkins trowing 2 counters. Cal also provides many more angles in his offensive game than Williams does. But then again, I could be wrong!!

I have said this before and I will say it again, if Joe Calzaghe manages to throw 1000 punches this fight I will be SHOCKED. Hop won't allow him to do so but Cal's activity will still be to much for BHop who is very lethargic and being that won't win him many rounds.

And that's pretty much all I am saying...

Everyone says that Joe is going to kill him because he throws so many punches, and Hopkins is going to be completely overwhelmed.

Counterpunching does make a fighter think twice before throwing though.

And Joe's punches aren't exactly the most straight punches I have ever seen.

I'm not worried. Quintana was a southpaw, Hopkins isn't.

Calzaghe has a stellar amateur pedigree, and fought as an amateur at the highest level. And it shows. Williams didn't do much at amateur and never fought at an elite level. And it shows.

Well, lets look at the way BHOP would isolate Joe. He would prolly do it the way he did Winky, by getting in close and smothering and holding right? Joe doesn't stay to much on the inside and is too much like a jumping jack to be held down. As a matter of fact, trying to hold him might actually look really bad because of how hard BHOP would have to try.

Speaking of southpaws... Hopkins is what, like 10-0 against them?

And that is a very good point. But in the same way that Joe swamps Paul in experience... I'm not sure if there is anyone more experienced right now than Bernard Hopkins.

Hopkins makes EVERYONE who fights him look bad, so I'd be concerned. He is the epitome of a boxing technician. I just have doubts if he can do enough offensively to win rounds against Joe at this point in his career.
