    Cotto, King of the Welters

Tonights fight, cemented the fact that Miguel Cotto is at the top of the elite weight class in boxing, 147 pounds. Miguel dismantled "El Indio" inside five brutal and decisive rounds. We didn't really know how good Quintana was until tonight; He proved his worth in defeating and puttin' a whoopin' on the so called Punisher, Paul Williams. And with Williams beating Marg and Marg making Kermit cry, Miguel sits happy on top of the 147 pound wieght class. And it tells us a little something about how good Shane is at this stage of his career. Floyd is irrellevent at this point. He's chosen not to get involved with the best in the division; by avoiding danger I guess he keeps his "P4P" claim, at least that's how everyone else seems to see it. I don't, Floyd's out of the picture, Miguel is the man to beat at 147.

At this point, I don't know if I wanna see Antonio in against Cotto. I think, maybe, Miguel may brutalize Tony. Hell, Quintana vs Margarito would be a pretty damn good fight. Margarito, Williams, Cintron and Quintana are all within the same skill level, Cotto is a cut above the rest.

I would still pick PBF over Cotto in a decisive UD.

PBF would UD Cotto, I guess that isn't as irrelevant as you may think.

To anyone who can't sell tickets it's irrelevant to even think about fighting Mayweather, but Cotto could still land a Mayweather fight at some point so Floyd isn't irrelevant to Cotto.

It's getting close to the point where Cotto is clearly head and shoulders above the rest of the 147 lb. class. By the end of 2008 I bet he will be. At that point, I'm pretty sure Mayweather would fight him. Cotto will have to beat Mayweather to be the king.

On the contrary Quintana was no better than most people thought he was. Williams was worse.

I don't see Floyd beating Cotto. At this stage, Miguel's got too much for him. Floyd aint got enough pop to stop Miguel, hell, Floyd barely survived Oscar, who everyone says is a shell of his former self. He won't get away with that **** against Cotto, who is capable of doubling the output that Oscar put out on May 5th.

Barely survived Oscar? Was Floyd ever hurt in that fight? I've seen it 5 or 6 times and I remember Floyd being really fresh at the end.

But man they have to fight. You can't just say Cotto has too much for the P4P and linear champ. He's got to actually beat him. I'm pretty sure that they will fight eventually. So, we'll just have to wait and see. Patience is a virtue. Trust me it is.

I will enjoy doubling up when the fight is signed. Hopefully I can have near 1mil or 1mil by than so I can be the e-richest user on this board.
