To call out for Cotto and have Cotto? I think Cotto needs Williams too. That's imo number 2 vs number 3 welterweights right there, being Cotto number 3

I think that fight has to happen. Cotto is more desusional than Williams. Williams wants Cotto. Cotto wants Mayweather, Mayweather wants Oscar and wants no part of the younger WW clearly. I also think Cotto will start to feel the Williams call louder once he get another win vs a good fighter - quintana. Yes Cotto has already beaten Quintana but hasn't beat Margarito, Williams has.

Williams is not in Cotto's league, and worse it's a horrible matchup for Williams. But there's no reason it shouldn't be proven in the ring.

But Margarito-Cotto would be a more entertaining fight

All I can say is I dont blame Cotto for not picking Williams. If Williams wins tonight and does the job impressively then there is no point of Cotto facing Margarito because Williams has already beaten him, and Quintana is the common opponent who they will both have faced and if Williams wins, its the opponent they both have beaten.

That's the kind of complete Bull**** Cotto fans and people who hate Williams say. He's ready. He's beaten Margarito, a fighter tough as nails and strong as Cotto. He's beaten Margo for 12 entire rounds and even the hardcore fans of Margarito didn't give Margo more than 3 rounds. He doesn't slap, he does have some power and the fact Cotto tired vs low output Shane Mosley can only leave you guessing what the accumulation of punches Williams would land do...

        He IS ready.

Yeah Williams should be shouting Cotto's name out during the post fight interview. Actually he should challenge the winner of that fatal four to unify three of the 4 belts.

Wow I totally disagree. That being said it should be proven in the ring and hopefully that time comes.

And imagine if someone would hold 3 belts and tried to unify all 4. WOW. Btw if you want to see an unification Williams and Cotto are both in the same league and key players. The other player should be leaving the building in a couple of years so this unification better hurry up. I so wished to see it.

Whatever; this guy will be fighting up-and-comers in two years, but for the time being I've nothing against watching Cotto ruin him.

This is what I see happening:

Cotto vs Gomez - Winner Cotto

Williams vs Quintana - Winner Williams

Margarito vs Cintron - Winner Margarito

Cotto vs Margarito - Winner Cotto

Cotto vs Williams - Winner Williams

Mayweather vs Williams - Winner Williams

I'm a objective fan of Miguel Cotto but lets be honest he couldn't ruin a shot Shane Mosley and Williams would beat Mosley, dont you think so? Almost like the Forrest fight
