Andy Lee Injured, Pavlik Fight in November?

Undefeated middleweight prospect Andy Lee (15-0, 12KOs) told the Irish Daily Mirror that a cut sustained from a clash of heads during his recent knockout win over Alejandro Falliga, will likely force him to skip a scheduled bout in Grand Rapids, Michigan, on February 29, and wait until March 21 to fight again. Lee faces Brian Vera of the Contender on the March date with ESPN televising. [details]

he can't take no risks because his hype is too high right now, he needs to take as much time as needed to get better and get his mind off Pavlik for now, Manny is doing him wrong and it almost seems as if he is just eager to throw his young lion at the king of the jungle, it's a bad business move for his boy. get your sights off of Pavlik and aim for Duddy, Abraham, Bute and Pascal, guys in those categories or look for the gatekeepers in Cherifi, Eastman and Joppy because he has A LOT of flaws in his game and Pavlik's right hand can make him realize it all too fast the way it did to Jermain, people must realize that Kelly Pavlik is almost 6'3 and strong as **** at Middleweight so his position in the game is HIGH, he has the tools to break the Middleweight record because I see no one in those weights who can beat him, the guy I think can beat him not only already lost to him but on Febuary 16th isn't even fighting for the belts, Lee has potential and all but no way does he beat Pavlik so early in his career, Emmanuel Steward is ****ing nuts for this, I hope he doesn't just throw his fighter at Pavlik and gives him a chance to establish himself as a prominent fighter in the division before making him risk all his hard work a big ass gamble that will be all too hard to win, like Russian roulette with 5 bullets and he goes first..

brendan his last fight is on youtube. Search for Andy lee Falliga. Its decent but the guy in that ring would get seriously hurt by pavlik.

i think his hand speed is pretty awesome, accuracy is sharp and the power is definitely there but.. i think his footwork and control of the ring is still pretty green. He also seemed to really telegraph his big punch instead of setting up a big punch with combinations.. I think he's top prospect but if manny rushes him he could get ruined. he's only 23.

Manny's talking like he's had some sort of communication with Wright that would lead him to believe he would take the fight. Last I heard Winky wanted nothing but big payday fights. This definitely wouldn't qualify. That being said I hope the fight with Wright happens. I think the veteran takes it. If Lee did some how beat Winky which I don't think he would, it would set up a big fight for him in November with Kelly.

No one will deny that Kelly has the perfect mentality for a championship fighter. But he does have physical and technical limitations that a better man will expose.

Damn it really seems Steward is pushing him and trying to get him big fights quickly. I think he has what it takes to be champ, but it seems a little early to me. This year he could build up his record against known opponents and contenders and then next year go for the big fights. He needs that one big win against a known opponent before there's that real interest in him fighting Pavlik.
