Ricky Hatton Running Scared Of Junior Witter?

There might be a difference in competition but the fact is, Cotto and Witter are both ranked number two in their weight classes and they have earned the right to face the champion.

Who is more deserving than Witter? Malignaggi? Torres? Hopkins? Rees?

The situations aren't comparable. Mayweather is having a rematch with someone who he has already defeated so unless Hatton follows a similar route then the same criticisms cannot be offered.

Could be that Ricky decided at some stage to save the Witter fight 'til last. Maybe retiring on a win over Junior has been the idea for some time.
Probably unlikely, but, when trying to think of possible reasons for his continuing reluctance to sign a Witter fight, it's a possibility.

i just honestly think that it would be a poor fight and win lose or draw hatton has little to gain from this. if he won he would be slated, as everyone would say it was a boring fight. if he lost he would get slated big time and lose mass respect eithin the boxing community. im not saying that morally he shouldnt fight him. im jst saying that i can see why he isnt fighting him and its not anything to do with him being scared. At east hatton and Maliggnagi would go at it like men and create some entertainment.

Witter can have some boring fights but he also has some exciting fights and has very good power. I have seen a lot of the interviews between hatton and witter, hatton admitted in one of them that it would be a difficult fight and he wanted it but for some reason it never came of, but once hatton became a big name he started to come up with pathetic reasons not to fight him, imo its because hattons team knows that it is a very risky fight style wise I think they will leave it a couple of years until junior is just starting to slow down and hatton will then have it as his last fight, that’s the only explanation that I have got for it.

When a fighter comes out and makes lame excuses like Another boxer "disrespect me verbally" and i dont want to give him a "Payday" then he brought acuusations of ducking and scared on himself.

I could just imagine How the internet would have explode if God forbid someone like Mayweather spouts out lame excuses like that in avoiding Cotto..The boxing world would have been in meltdown critising him.

No i know he isnt going to say Khan and Cotto would beat him. I dont think Khan could beat him as well. But im just wondering if Witter really thinks he is as good as he makes out, or is it bravado?

Like in the interview when he is sitting behind Hatton at the ring apron when Hatton is being interviewed after just winning against, cant remember his name. Witter says i will DESTROY you to Hatton. I mean Witte might beat Hatton but it just seems like Witter is a bit OTT with his own ability. But i guess boxers are all like that arent they? Look at carl froch, and he aint even champ yet.
