Ricky Hatton Running Scared Of Junior Witter?

First things first I am a Hatton fan as i'm from manchester and have always followed him.

This is what is needed to make this fight happen, more journalist interest. As the fans do genuinely want this fight, I think dependent on how witter does against hopkins (if this still happens) that this fight will happen late 08 early 09 - only thing then is that they aint both gonna be the same fighters as they are today.

I will not say that Witter will be the out and out winner of this bout but the way hatton as always approached this matter can only make one suspect that he has a worry about fighting witter - may be its his style, hatton doesn't cope well with southpaw fighters which witter can fight, and witter can hit and has speed to add to the torment, the writer clearly pointed out it seems on paper that hattons style is perfect for witter.

If this is the case that hatton does worry about witters style then I think maybe Hatton is beaten already (Mentally).

Hatton as always proclaimed he's the peoples champ and he'll fight anyone (barring witter) another point i'd like to make is that hatton as thrown his fair share of jabs back at witter but the only difference is he does it subliminally and with a little wit. (as shown in the above audio interview) on top of all this in his own words "Its not a tickling contest is it?"

I think that the fight will happen at the end of 08. Witter might have the mental advantage going into the fight though as Hatton has not wanted to make the fight for the last few years and if Hatton hates Witter as much as he says he might well come straight in at Witter and then Witter might KO him.

Oh No Doubt... Possibly could even beat him.. But If Mayweather can pick and chose.. and its justifiable.. becasue Mayweather is the Draw.. then I think A guy who just had the richest payday in UK Boxing History can be afforded the same luxury... No?

yeah possibly, but ricky has lost now and as such people start to question his claim as the number one at 140, and even being the best in the UK. it comes with the territory of defeat.

Personally i think people are blowing this a bit out of proportion. To say that ricky is "scared" of witter imo is laughable. Ricky has fought Tszyu and the number 1 P4P guy on the planet at a weight he isn't comfortable at. I think this fight will happen eventually as long as witter continues his good form and ricky gets a fight or two under his belt.

I think ricky fights a tomato can in his tuneup.. than takes a crack at malignaggi in england or madison square garden.. after that who knows maybe he will fight witter..maybe he won't..
