I cant see why he would be afraid of Witter. And I raised this point in another thread, he took on Floyd, one of the best out there. You're gonna tell me that Witter is a bigger risk than Floyd??? Eh.....

lol i think saying hatton is scared is absolute ****e. hes fought mayweather, castillo, tszyu, phillips, tackie and a hell of a lot more good fighters. saying he is "chicken" is bull**** of the highest degree. However there does seem to be some underlying issues that none of us can be sure of. i think Hattons decision not to fight Witter is purely based on cash and there wouldnt be enough reward for the risk he would be taking. Also why should he the fight? it would be terrible as junior is a spoiler and would not be interested one bit in engaging in a entertaining fight. Witter would attempt to steal a close decision and hatton doesnt need this crap, especially at such an advanced stage of his career. Hatton v Maliggnagi anyone?

So you would rather see Hatton face the guy who had big trouble with Ngoudjo and held on to win a somewhat controversial decision rather than the guy who knocked his last opponent Vivian Harris out cold on the canvas?

Witter has been a bore in the past but he has his exciting moments, just look at the fights I posted in the previous page.

Not even 2 months have passed since Hatton fought the #1 p4p in boxing. And over 6 weeks already of "ducking Witter" posts.

All this springs from Hatton's comments that he will NOT fight Witter even though Witter is the number 1 contender in the LWW division.

              How about this:
Not even 2 months have passed since Mayweather fought Hatton the number 1 ranked LWW and former WW champion and already over 6 weeks of "ducking Cotto" posts.

Cotto just beat Shane Mosley and Zab Judah, Witter beat Arturo Morua and Vivian Harris. A slight difference I'm sure you'll agree.

i just honestly think that it would be a poor fight and win lose or draw hatton has little to gain from this. if he won he would be slated, as everyone would say it was a boring fight. if he lost he would get slated big time and lose mass respect eithin the boxing community. im not saying that morally he shouldnt fight him. im jst saying that i can see why he isnt fighting him and its not anything to do with him being scared. At east hatton and Maliggnagi would go at it like men and create some entertainment.

Mayweather has already scheduled a fight, in September. And you certainly can't compare Witter with Cotto, on any level. Besides, Hatton doesn't even have a world title anymore, how can he possibly duck anyone?

Hatton is still the number 1 ranked LWW in the world. Those paper belts don't mean anything, Hatton is still the champion.
Hatton has discussed the possibility of facing Rees and Malignaggi (both ranked lower than Witter in the LWW division) but he insists that he shouldn't give Witter a payday because Witter has 'disrespected' him.

I'd be alright with Hatton fighting Rees and Malignaggi because they are both top contenders but Witter is better.

Cotto just beat Shane Mosley and Zab Judah, Witter beat Arturo Morua and Vivian Harris. A slight difference I'm sure you'll agree.
There might be a difference in competition but the fact is, Cotto and Witter are both ranked number two in their weight classes and they have earned the right to face the champion.

Who is more deserving than Witter? Malignaggi? Torres? Hopkins? Rees?
