Oh wait... when Joe's fighting in England against an English fighter he was the home favourite, huh?
We've gotten completely off subject and the fact that I shut you down in this debate.

You didn't "shut me down", you just acted like an arrogant prick.

your entire point resides on the incredibly shaky premise of regarding "europe" as a single entity. Moreover, you're stretching that to have some credence that no one else is giving it.

        To post these stats again:

        1. Joe is 44-0

        2. Only 2 out of his 44 fights, Joe has fought outside of the UK. One in Germany and the other in Denmark.

        3. Related to Point #2, that's 42 times that Joe has fought in the UK in his long career.

Here is Bernard Hopkins's stats. During his long career he has fought in:

        1. New Jerzey
        2. Pennsylvania
        3. New York
        4. Florida
        5. Denver
        6. Arizona
        7. Louisiana
        8. California
        9. Nevada
        10. Indiana

That's 10 different states in the United States of America, including two countries Equador and France to Hopkins's resume.

Now how can that not be better compared to 42 times fought in the UK to only 2 times in different countries. Specially when some American states are bigger then countries in europe.

BTW, Lmao at your childish negative Karma comments, as If I care.

It's the truth. Some Brits or Calzaghe supporters in general are not well informed always talking about americans like Hopkins needing to come to Europe instead of complaining about Europeans not coming to America.

I just proved them wrong. This thread wasn't talking to you in particular but Calzaghe fans in general who still think that the earth is flat.

The question is how much credit would Joe be given if he would have fought in the states early in his career against a no name as BHOP did across seas?

Thank you for contributing absolutely nothing to this topic, ignoring all the facts and insulting a post like a little Kid. You should be proud of yourself.

Does it matter where they have fought?

Both are still good (I count Bernard as good even if he's past his best), both have good resumes (not the best, but eh.), and both are fighting each other come april 19th.

There is no question. Only a statement for those who keep insisting that Hopkins and other big fighters should come to Europe instead of asking for Europeans to come to America.

Hopkins has been there, if only once early in his career and Joe hasn't. 42 times fought in the UK as a matter of fact. He is a local product.
