Center of gravity. Shorter, stockier legs have a better center of gravity, as opposed to chicken legs. Simpy put, a stronger foundation makes for a stonger chin...

However, I will say this, Evander Holyfield is one the buffest dudes in boxing history but his legs, below the knee, look like number 2 pencils but man can that man take a punch! Bowe dam near decapitated him....
