Hopkins couldn`t even beat Winky Wright. he had to foul his ass off the entire fight and get a questionable decision.

Has calzaghe ever been in the ring with a fighter as good as hopkins, particulary defensivley?

I dont think there is anyone who matches Hopkins defense on his resume...i dont think Hopkins is a dangerous fighter like someone such as Kessler but I think this will be a more difficult fight

Of course he hasn't, not many ppl have been because that kind of style isn't popular because its not crowd pleasing.

Has Hopkins ever fought someone with Calzaghes workrate? I don't even think the little welterweights Hopkins fought threw as many punches as Calzaghe does!!!

They don't have to be fans, thats not what I said as you twist **** around. People come on here still bad mouthing Calzaghe as if he sucks, even though he beat the top fighters in his weight class which other fighters in other weight class try to avoid*not mentioning the boxers name but I think some ppl know who I'm talking about*

Foolish ppl, I think ppl hate Calzaghe because he is white and he is good. The guys speed is amazing and his workrate, he has decent power and his defense is underrated a bit.

I think Hopkins has a better chance than most people think, like i said in the other thread people just expect Calzaghe to walk in the ring and just outwork Hopkins but its not as easy as that. Hopkins is a great technical fighter and he can off set Calzaghe's rhythm with clinches and also slow him down. Calzaghe has struggled in rough tough fights with Bika, Salem, Reid, who aren't even in the same class as Hopkins. And while people may say Calzaghe fights to the level of his opposition which is true in same cases, i find he loses his concentrating very easily and gets hot headed quickly as well. I see Calzaghe winning a close decision but it won't be easy by any means. And as for Calzaghe's power sorry but he hasn't got any power any more he used to be a ****er early in his career but not anymore, if he hit Lacy with 1006 punches and couldn't even stop him then that should tell you a lot about Calzaghe's power.
