Steward Wants Andy Lee To Fight Winky Wright

yeah, he needs to bring him along and get experience if he wants the kid to get a shot and have a chance! he needs to fight a top 10ish guy so he can be gauged against a more skilled boxer! it would be ashame to put him against pavlik, or abraham and have him get a beating! it could have ill effects on his future, and would be ashame for he may never recover!

I agree completely; why rush him in with two of the hardest hitting mw's before he has the ring experience? I think that's why Stewart wants a credible yet not so dangerous opponent like Eastman. Actually, Eastman is kind of a trial horse for mw prospects; he's faced Duddy, Miranda, and Abraham...

i dont mind him fighting wink, but these huggers that say winky is no good, and lee will school him is a joke! the kid has never been in the ring with anyone of the caliber of winky, and will get a boxing lesson!

I don't think there is any reason to give Lee a loss so early in his career. Winkys style would definitely make for a difficult fight for a relatively green fighter. He's difficult for experienced fighters. He doesn't beat people up but he's tough to beat. I think he'd be a terrible fighter to take when somewhat new.

Winky Wright is not a gatekeeper. He would not "lower himself" and fight a prospect, at best.

Mouth marketing at its best. If I call out Winky knowing he wont take a small time fight, that will give the ring to lee's name by saying he challenged a reluctant wright! BS! i dnt respect Steward and he ruined Taylor's career. Possibly intentionally to make a way for Lee, far fetched I knw!
