Steward: "Cintron Will Be Ready For Margarito"

Trainer Emanuel Steward is confident that IBF welterweight champion Kermit Cintron will get revenge in his April 12 rematch with Antonio Margarito. Margarito previously stopped Cintron within five-rounds in 2005. The two meet nearly three-years later at the Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City. The fight will be the co-feature to Miguel Cotto's defense of the WBA welterweight crown against Contender star Alfonso Gomez. [details]

Cintron is ready? Does that mean he's bringing some tissues to wipe away the tears this time?

That's good that I keep reading articles about his excuses from his first fight and how he's 100% ready this time. Now he can't cry like a little ***** and come up with a hundred excuses like the first time.. Man up and take it like a man. No excuses when you get ktfo AGAIN!

you FANS make me sick sometimes, makes an analyst frown. Cintron is a better fighter than Antonio Margarito ever was, he has WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY more skills and hits harder it's just due to inexperience he wasn't able to conquer him. if you don't know that then Boxing ain't for you..

I don't think Cintron would've taken the rematch if he didn't think he'd be prepared. I give Cintron a decent chance, but you have to favor Margarito.

It's telling that Cintron's assistant trainer James Ali Bashir didn't think Cintron would be ready for 2 more fights.
