LOL @ Gomez hyping himself up, but it's his job after all, what is he supposed to say: "Hey I am going to the slaughter, and I know it. I never faced anyone like Cotto and I am having my ass kicked, I hope he wears the softest gloves on the market"...

BTW has there ever been, a faster, better boxer than Cotto named Gomez? (Wilfredo was great but for different reasons)

Gomez is going to **** up Cotto. Gomez has the style to beat Cotto. Theres no doubt in my mind that Gomez is the better fighter that we just found out about in the contender seris. Takie also gave Tszyu a fair fight for 12 rounds. So Gomez did alright compared when comparing to Tszyu against Tackie. Im going as far as to say Gomez has the better chin and will catch Cotto early and put him away mid rounds. Gomez by tko, belive it!

If Gomez wins somehow Mayweather will definately fight Gomez. He is the type of fighter Mayweather loves.

Alfonso Gomez vs. Floyd Mayweather ... Now that would be a Gatti vs. Mayweather II

Mosley was a faster and better boxer than Cotto, Judah was the faster and better boxer than Cotto, even Urkal was the faster and better boxer than Cotto!! You know what am saying? There are manny other factors than speed and skill in an boxing match! To me, determination is the biggest factor, and tahts what Cotto has lots of, and hes verry strong!
Its good that Gomez is comming to win and thinks he can win, cause a fighter who dont think he can win shouldnt even step in the ring!

Didn't Ben Tackie and Gatti both come out of retirement to fight Gomez? He beat retired fighters, and he looked so terrible against Ben Tackie and his excuse was that his hand was busted up.
well they sort of picked gomez to be cotto's tune-up for the margarito match, not cuz gomez deserved it, IMO
