Am not even going to say anything anymore about this fight, I think its a poor fight to make and Arum is a con-artist who too many fans on these forum is too quick to believe because he promotes Cotto (their favourite fighter).

I give Gomez a chance to make it competitive because he's bigger and durable. If Cotto comes in at his best there should be no reason for him not to win by a comfortable margin.

Guys, a Cotto-Gomez fight in theory is nothing new in boxing. For many years, superstar fighters have been given breaks in between mega fights with bouts known as TUNE-UPS. They feature superstars against contenders (no pun intended) vying for the spotlight and a paycheck. This fight is in the same vein as that. Gomez "earned" this opportunity by being 6-0-1 in his last 7 fights, the last 2 being broadcasted on major networks. Also bare in mind boxing isnt just wat goes on in the ring between fighters. Financially this fight makes sense for all parties involved, and also allows not only Arum but also Cotto the safe opportunity to keep Cotto active, pending a mega fight with the Margarito-Cintron II winner. Now dont get me wrong, Id love to replace Gomez with Mayweather, Williams, or Cintron, or even a Clottey or Bonsu, but boxing is not 100% tailored to the wants of the fans. It could be worse. We could have had Cotto side-lined until the mega fight, like our P4P King is for his. Lets just appreciate that we get to see Cotto continue to display his craft for us. This is just my 2 cents. I know boxing.

I know he is very Happy about this fight, and we understand, the kid, want a big fight, and maybe he will get, pending that cotto make if officially, which we have to wait, yet, but stll, let the kid alone, he is only talking, but when reality hit him, and suddenly he found himself in from of the destroyer, Miguel cotto, then the pink color will turn black for Gomez. almost sure this kid, Gomez, will not only be KO. but with broken ribs or in bad shape, he believes he is goint to beat cotto. he is crazy.

Yes he can win, but hes not better than Cotto, has not faced better competition than Cotto. Cotto destroys opponents careers ( ask Zab Judah who got sent to fighting nobodies at donkey shows in mexico after the beating he got, which u gambled for ) and ask Mosley, who was a future HOF nominee after Cotto beat him and sent him to fight bums like Mayorga. You cant discredit Cotto like you did pre-Mosley, and you definetly cant say Gomez is a better fighter. I hope you dont bet all your points again against Cotto .
