I think it was definitely a deciding factor that Witter took the fight on 9 days notice. He had 9 days to prepare for a fight against the (at the time) world champion Judah who had gone through a 2 month training camp. Given only 9 days to prepare even Mayweather may have lost against a well-trained Judah.

I think Witter has the style, power and skills to defeat Mayweather, but "Money" wouldn't have the courage to fight him.
I would enjoy seeing Witter beat Mayweather! That would be something worth paying for.Comment

Good post. ^ I was going to put this up myself.
Quick transcript:
Brendan Ingle: ..When Hatton got beat by Mayweather, they said what about Hatton and Junior Witter? I said "Witter will beat Mayweather"... Forget about Hatton, if the fight comes off all well and good, Junior will stand Hatton on his head, he'll have a harder job with Mayweather but he will beat Mayweather. It's all about styles and Junior has got the style, he's got the punch and he's got a brilliant attitude. If that fight gets offered and he's got 2 or 3 months notice, he'll beat him. Forget Hatton he's on the backburner at the moment, Witter wants Mayweather...Comment

Imagine the flack Mayweather would get if he fought Witter instead of Cotto next. As far as I'm concerned though, if Floyd doesn't want to fight the best at 147 (Cotto, Williams, etc) then he should go back to 140. He could unify there and retire and still have a pretty good legacy. I just want to see him fight the best.Comment
...I bet it hurt??? Right? right? Lmao.
