      JESUS

You must just started watching boxing. For you to say Floyd has never faced anyone like Cotto makes you look like a noob to boxing. Castillo and Cotto have similar styles. So when you say no one has a style like Cotto makes you look like you dont know what the **** you're talking about.

You keep saying he fights the same. How is that when he figures out his opponents. So I guese he fought Gatti, Judah, Baldomir, Oscar, and Hatton the same using your logic right? ( honestly, he could have done more in the Baldomir and Oscar fight. I cant knock him though because they were the bigger men.He still showcased his skills.)

So are you saying that Cotto will outsmart and out think Mayweather in a fight? I highly doubt that. Seriously, Cotto can adapt to a style and so can Floyd. You forget to mention that.

Floyd is no Mosley. Mosley was winning some exchanges and he was backing Cotto up (sometimes) Floyd will have the same success but he wont take as much punishment like Mosley did.

I'm willing to bet you also once the fight is made

I think Cotto will have his best chance if he uses the Jose Luis Castillo come-forward jab, that scores him a punch and also gets him on the inside, where he does have advantages because of his natural body punching, as well as his incredible heavy fists which could wear Floyd down, even though it's never been done.

...but to try to get back closer to the actual topic of this thread. I think Mosely would have beat Cotto if he would have just fought his own fight instead of fighting Cotto's fight. Floyd won't let that happen. The only way Cotto wins, IMO, is if he makes Floyd come to him instead of chasing Floyd. We've seen it before, Floyd can run all night just to make him look bad.
First off thats a funny ass avatar.

Back to the topic, I agree. (the bold part) Also, if Cotto sits back and try to make Floyd press the action, Cotto will get picked apart. He will get hit all night long and wont be able to return fire because Floyd will evade or roll Cotto's punches.

The only way cotto would win is if floyd is past it. no other way. prime vs prime this isnt even a tough fight for floyd. in 08 it is a tough fight but floyd wins, in 09 cotto might win, maybe. here's why floyd isnt gonna do it: he wants to set yet another record by BEING THE FIRST BLACK FIGHTER TO RETIRE UNDEFEATED, and he really doesn't need cotto, cotto is a very good young fighter who is very strong but cant box vs anyone prime, doesn't use angles and relies on pressure, which works well vs people as old as his dad, ie shane.
