Taylor got smashed By Norris , u can say J C Chavez took his prime away but Norris was a superior Boxer anyway ,u wanna see ring generalship u should watch Terry Norris when he is'nt Gun Slinging ,when he is using his considerable Boing ability Norris was as quick as Taylor aswell

Norris Was as good as Ray leonard ,RJJ when iT comes to Boxing ability ,if had a better chin he would have been only 2nd to RJJ IMO

Norris was a brilliant pure boxer but he was no where near as quick as Taylor. You can make a case that Meldrick Taylor was the fastest fighter of all time.

Debatable but after a rethink i kind of agree that he was slightly faster than Norris ,it looked to me like Norris was struggling to stay with Taylor for hand speed when they fought

Taylor did'ny have the ring craft Norris did though ,Taylor was a good boxer but in his prime Norris put on some Masterfull displays

I definatley agree. Norris was the better pure boxer but Taylor clearly had the better handspeed in my opinion. Norris was actually one of the best pure boxers i have ever watched. Take a look at the this fight with Magabi, it was boxings brilliance at its best.

yep Norris was pure quality so easy on the eye to watch cause of his hand speed Combination punching & his fluency

there are very few fighters that are as easy on the eye & and as fluent in thier movements than prime Roy Jones ,Norris ,Ray Leonard ,Ali [1964]especially

norris's chin wasn't his only weakness. you also left out norris being a complete hothead.

he was dq'd against walker for hitting him when he was down, and santana twice for a rabbit punch and a blatant shot when he stepped AROUND Kenny Bayless to hit Santana, after the bell. Santana was probably acting, but Norris was too damn hot-headed anyway. Him getting stopped or dropped was also a consequence of his lack of discipline when it came to boxing and not getting into warfare.

He also blatantly hit Leonard when he was down, and Waters (behind the head).

that fight didn't ruin everything for him. that's revisionist history made more popular by hbo documentaries.

it is true that taylor wasn't the same after chavez, but he was still a good formidable fighter afterwards. he moved up in weight and beat an undefeated champ in aaron davis for a world title. it was too much accumulated punishment, both in fights and in the gym, and questionable management decisions, led to him being worn out at such a young age.

duva and team shouldn't have put him in there with norris @ 154 lbs.

taylor was too brawl happy for his own good, but at least he used his talent to do some very good things so i can't see how he's the biggest waste of talent. he won 2 world titles in 2 weight classes, handily beat an excellent fighter in mcgirt, gave an atg in chavez all he could handle.

talented guys like ibeabuchi and ayala never made it past the contender level. ricardo williams never made it past the prospect level.

Santana was acting the right hand Norris hit him with had nothing on it yet that ****a was down for about 15 minutes play acting, he should have got an Oscar for his dying swan act the ****ing

Norris did show lack of discipline but that is what made him so exciting his fights were up & downers he would stand toe to toe even though he possesed the better Boxing ability ,Norris was 'nt disciplined otherwise he would have Boxed more instead of gunslinging but like i said that is why he was so exciting to watch tremendous Skill & a big Heart ,very quick & a good combination puncher

thats why i like Fighter like Rid**** Bowe & Terry Norris cause allthough they possesed great Boxing ability they would also put it on the line aswell ,it might not have been the most sensible thing to do all the while but there fights were damn entertaining

LOL it is actually quite funny when u consider that people questioned Bowe's Heart if anything that is one of the main contributing factors to his downfall he liked fighting Toe to toe & tried to get his man out of there asap ,for the Media to question his heart in retrospect seems a bit of a dumb analogy now when u look at some of the Wars he was involved in

                      Mike Tyson had no Heart
