lol @ top 5 welterweight. he fell from "the most feared" to now top 5 welterweight. BWAHAHAHAHA
You do realize that Margarito turned pro at 15 and that 2 of his losses were before the age of 18, and one was at age 18. You do realize that Margarito held a major world title for 5 years, did not have a loss at WW for over 11 years in a row. That the single loss at 154 was after he was headbutted and the fight was stopped when he was behind by a point on one scorecard and ahead on another. That leaves one loss to an undefeated, 6'2" southpaw that was knocking guys out at MW before he dehydrated his way down to WW (as evidenced by his weighing 162 fight night against Margarito.) Tony has been rated in the top 10 at WW for almost 7 years, much longer than anyone else in the top 10 and he might be overrated by some, but he is extremely underrated by many more.

And Cotto's pressure will be too much for Margarito. Margarito was losing to Clottey before Clottey broke his hand(s), who pressuring him. PW pressured him back with his volume of punches.

And no way in hell Cotto isn't the favorite. I wouldn't be suprised if he was the 3:1 favorite too.

Unless he struggles against Gomez, Cotto will be a solid favorite. He has been the better promoted fighter his whole career, he has the New York media on his side, and he has been on many more HBO showcases. Add to that he is undefeated and 3-1 sounds about right.

Between Cotto, Williams and Mayweather, Cotto is the easier fight for him. And Cotto's chin will be tested if they fight, that much is sure.

Yeah, but Cotto is a master of infighting and I think Margarito can't really fight going backwards. Cotto's pressure will get to him I think.

Well Cotto is definitely going to be the favorite, but it's a dangerous fight for Miguel for sure. I see Cotto getting to Williams' body and beating up Cintron bad on the inside, but I think Mayweather and Margarito are tough fights for him. Styles definitely make fights though, because I see Floyd outpointing Cotto, Cotto possibly stopping Williams late (Miguel is a better finisher than Tony, who had him hurt), but I see Williams giving Floyd problems with his size, length, workrate and jab.

I guess the only way Williams/Mayweather happens is if Margarito beats Cintron, then beats Cotto, then loses a rematch with Williams, which is a hell of a lot of ifs.

I'd never said he'd get Knocked out. I may hate him, but I atleast know he has a good chin.

He'd be going backwards from Cotto's pressure. Like Miranda was being pressured and backed up by Pavlik.
