Give Povetkin Credit

im gonna have to go light on my praise of povetkin, to be frank im sick and tired of every fighter claiming he was sick and tired at some point leading up to the fight when asked about a mediocre performance.

he fought well enough to win but after watching it the fight was more about what Chambers didnt do than what Povetkin did do. Hes a solid well rounded fighter but there just didnt seem to be anything remarkable about him cept for how easily he swelled up.

povetkin showed a serious suceptibility to a good quick jab and straight right hand... and hes sposed to fight klitschko... i highly doubt we will see that fight anytime soon. should klitschko beat ibragimov a match against tony thompson should be made to satisfy the WBO mandatory because i think Povetkin would be happy to sit that one out.

Eddie Chambers is a pretty good fighter. That was the problem. When he chose to fight Povetkin early, he was way better. Maybe Povetkin's pressure is really special and he caused Eddie Chambers to shut down, but it looked like Eddie just has absolutely no heart. We'll never know for sure, but it just looked like that if Chambers would have continued to let his hands go that the fight wouldn't even have been particularly close, let alone a Povetkin one sided win.

It has nothing to do with nationality. Povetkin wouldn't be impressive he was born in New Jersey either.

Chambers is a very good fighter, I believe his not doing much in the last 2/3 of the fight had a lot to do with Povetkin's constant pressure. Sasha throws over twice as many punches per round as the average heavyweight. Even Kellermen mentioned Chambers lack of initiative had to do with Povetkin not giving him time.
