I see on an article on ESB that Povetkin almost had to postpone this fight because of having the flu and being on antibiotics. Many other boxers no doubt would have postponed it.

So he fought very well for someone who was sick.

I give Povetkin credit for being very professional, overcoming diffculty in the early rounds where Eddie was winning and had to have been frustrating him to take a hard earned descision. It speaks alot to his mentality and it just seemed like Povetkin wanted to win more.

I don't see anything about Povetkin not to like. He's an Olympic Gold medal winner, he doesn't pad his resume with weak opponents, he's a good father and husband, he doesn't trash talk, and he's entertaining to watch.

Definitely get him credit for having achieved so much in only 15 fights, but he's going to benefit from being in the worst heavyweight era of all time. He'll be able to use the green excuse for a while, but if he doesn't win at least a belt in this heavyweight era, then he's really a nobody.
